Lil' Jenny 005

The Lil' Jenny is the same shape and style as the Jenny, but just a Lil' bit smaller. This Lil' Jenny is made from a vintage English saddle (made by Courbette Saddlery Co., a European  saddle company that stopped manufacturing in the early 2000’s). The front and back is made from the saddles flaps and the flap closure is made from the buckle guard and is secured with a high quality antique brass turn lock. Inside you will find a zipper pocket for your smaller or more personal items. This bag features a short strap made from a beautiful brow band from a western bridle that showcases the original brass decorative hardware and has a 6" drop and a long crossbody strap.

The Jenny is named after a female donkey, one of the most common equines used as a pack animal. The Jenny was our first ‘saddle bag’ (first style made from saddle leather) and when we think of saddle bags we envision a ‘work horse’ that can carry a lot and that made us think of a donkey!

We get most of our vintage horse tack from a local non profit, Skagit Animals In Need (SAIN). SAIN's mission is to prevent and respond to animal cruelty and neglect primarily in support of law enforcement.  They hold an annual tack sale fundraiser every June, donate your used tack to SAIN and it might just end up becoming a beautiful one of a kind bag!
